I am looking at a 629 and am wondering what the codes mean on the box can anyone help? Nobody I have talked to can help.
The are 06-A2-LG-GR-BF-SA-SR-FS-CS-ZS
Hmm...I just picked up a copy of the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 3rd edition. According to The Book:
06 = 6-Shot
A2 = Single Action/Double Action
LG = Large Frame Size
GR = Rubber Grips
BF = Full-lug Barrel
SA = Single Action
SR = Red Ramp Front Sight
FS = Stainless Frame
CS = Stainless Steel Cylinder
ZS = Satin Stainless Finish
I have a 625-6 listed in the Supica/Nahas catalog with feature "PG". Looking at the index, pages 200-201, this code is not listed. I am wondering what the "PG" refers to.
