I would suggest the 7 round dash 4 snub nosed. There are not too many of them around.

I bought my 686 4" in 1983 and my wife used it for her Leo service thru her years.She didn't like the factory grips so she had a set of Hogue put on it and said it was a tack driver.

All I knew about my 686-6 (164284) when I got it that it was a .357 and I liked it.

Turns out that its even nicer than I originally thought.

Couldn't be more pleased with my only 686, a dash 3, I purchased new on Nov 2nd, 1991.
