Default Corrected a mistake today

4 maybe it was 5 years ago Kimber introduced the Solo. I HAD to have one. In the process I sold my 642. I won't knock the Solo, it ran 100% with all bullet weights and bullet profiles. Loaded hot, loaded mild it shot and shucked everything. But, I just couldn't get myself to like shooting it . So, I sold it and today bought myself another 642. Unlike my last , this one has a fairly smooth trigger pull and also, cast bullets don't fall thru the cylinder. It will join my K and 2 N frames. I apologize for the pic loading upside down.

I don't think I could go without a Centennial in my collection.

Congratulations on getting another.

I had one of the early brushed nickel models. When my son became a police officer he talked me out of it to use as a BUG. I missed it, but could not ask for it back. So, when the latest no lock version came out, I got another. It goes just about everywhere with me. Like you, but for a different reason, I had to replace that gun.

A J frame Smith is hard to beat for a BUG or CCW. My friend had 2 solos, I shot both and absolutely hated them. I will stick with my 342 any day.

If you had to only own one revolver, it has to be a 642 or 442. I couldn't imagine not having at least one centennial J Frame.

I like my Solo, too! (And my 642, 649, Bodyguard 38). None of them are much fun to shoot as range guns but that's not what they are.

You can't beat a J for EDC, I have a 442 brushed nickel and an older M38 backed up by a Colt Cobra.
