Front sight question?
Do all model 586/686's have pinned on front sight posts?

No Ed, most do not especially 586, to me it is much nicer to have a pinned front so you can have it changed if you ever need or want to. You can have a good gunsmith mill a fixed sight and pin one on but it cost. Bob

Thanks Bob. I'm looking at some Smiths on Gunbroker. Unfortunately, I STRONGLY prefer Patridge sights and have them on just about everything I own. I had hoped it would be a simple change over on a 586/686, like it was on the 696. Guess my search just got harder.
