Question S&W PC Revolvers

Is there anyway to get production numbers made for revolvers turned out from the S&W Performance Center without calling S&W? The specific revolver I am interested in is a S&W 627 Eight Times 5". Numbers I have seen quoted in threads is generally production was limited to 300-600 revolvers. Anyone know for sure? Thanks!

That revolver has been in continuous production for the past 13 years. There is no way to determine how many have been made.

A lot of the PC guns are made up off of a distributors request, Lew Horton, Camfour and Elliott Bros. mainly. You can call S&W with your serial number and if they don't have a production number they can tell you who it was sold through. Not sure about the others but Lew Horton has always been helpful giving out the number of guns they ordered. One other problem that can throw the number off is Lew might order the first 500 and then S&W might end up making more for someone else and there might be 500 addional guns made.

That I did not know. From the 300 to 600 numbers I had seen mentioned I was thinking there was 600 max. of them made. Appreciate the replies!
