Default S&W 686

I have a 686-1 prelock and I need to have a new barrel installed. I chose a bad gunsmith to try and install a fiber optic front sight and he has messed it all up.

Should I send it back to S&W or is there a GOOD gunsmith that knows needs to be done and how to do it?

At one time this company was not taking orders due to an overload of work. I've always read comments (from clients on this forum and others) the work is very good. Here: SDM Fabricating Home

If the damage is only to the front of the gun where the front sight is, maybe consider shortening the barrel and then a new front sight assy by SDM fabricating.
