642 Talo Grips

Do any of you know who made the grips for the M642 Talo Exclusive run? As you can see in the picture below, they are just a tad longer than most j-frame grips and allow a solid pinkey finger hold! Love the way they feel in hand, and the extra 1/2 inch doesn't bother me in pocket carry whatsoever!

Not sure - they kinda look like Altamont's...

I know thay use Altamont for some of the other Talo specials, so maybe they had Altamont do a special run for them on the S&W.

Ahrend also makes a 3 finger J-frame grip that feels real good to me...
(but I can't find it on his webpage, so....)

Sorry to bring back this old thread. Did anyone find a source for these grips? I have been looking everywhere. They are fantastic on a 340 pd.

The Altamont grips are VERY inexpensive ($35!) for a rosewood 3 finger grip. I paid $60 for a VERY similar grip at a gun show not too long ago.

If you call Altamont they will bend over to make you just about anything you request. But then so will Ahrends.

I highly recommend the Ahrends three finger grips. Unfortunately, they're a bit hard to find right now.
