Default Model 49 questions

Hello all,
I just joined this forum and I have a few questions about the model 49. I found this revolver where I work (gunshop) and was wondering if it would be a good purchase. I'm not too sure how old it is but it has seen quite a bit of holster wear and has been shot quite a bit. It is still pretty tight and the previous owner said it shot great. I was just wondering what ammo would work the best and what holsters do you guys prefer? It will probably be another CCW gun for me. Any info would certainly be appreciated.

They are great for concealed carry. Do a search for "Bodyguard" and you'll see lots of posts.

Recommended ammo: For standard pressure, the Federal 125gr Nyclad hollow point is a good option (currently available at Ammunition To Go) and for +P ammo either CorBon DPX or Speer 135gr Gold Dot is what I would recommend.

Holsters: I like the Mika pocket holster and the Galco Stinger for belt carry. There are a bunch of other holster options out there. You'll just have to try some to see which meets your needs best.

Don't for get to try different grips also. I like the factory magna grips and Uncle Mike's rubber three finger combat grips but there are many other options out there worth trying.
