What's a fair price on a S&W CS-1 Customs Service gun?
I have both a 3" and a 4" S&W 686 CS-1 revolver. I'm considering selling one or both of them and I'm trying to figure out what they're worth. They both have been carried and have a little holster wear but are otherwise in very good condition. I'd appreciate any advice or input that you can give.
By the way, I already checked GunBroker and there aren't any of them on there to use for comparison.
Thanks

I have seen the 4 inch ones go for between 450.00 to 650.00.
The 3 inch ones I have seen were - 600.00 , 700.00 , 750.00 and the highest one was 1000.00, but the 1000.00 one was when they were selling higher.

The last two CS-1 3" guns that I saw on Gunbroker went for $1,199.00 (161193872) and $1,301.00 (160900623) a few weeks ago. There was a 4" CS-1 that sold for considerably less, but the seller did not know what they had and did not advertise it as a CS-1.

If you want to check the GB auction site, use the search feature for "completed auctions". That will give you some idea of what actually was sold, and for how much.
I'd link my search, but it doesn't seem to want to take. But I see 4 3 inchers that sold in the last 90 days for $1100-1300. Looks like they are pretty popular right now!

The ones that I mentioned above were ones that I am familiar with.
I have not checked GB on them for a while.
Looks like the 3 inch ones on GB have went back to the prices that they were selling for a year ago in the last few months.

Okay, I started a thread wanting info on the CS-1 guns before reading yours. Call me an idiot. Are you going to post yours for sale on this forum?
