was looking to buy a 41 cal, and haven"t seen anything smaller than 4" was looking for 2.5 OR 3" barrel. seen the new pc 657 but was looking for a m-57 snubbie. thanks in advance

To my knowledge there was never a 57 made with less than a 4" barrel. There are a couple of variations of the Model 657, with 3" barrels. They are often generically refered to as Lew Horton Guns, although many went to other distributors that LH. I have a 3" full lug 657-4 that the production is thought to be around 200 units. It is a pre lock gun. There is another version without the full lug that had a production run in the 1000's. They are great guns, good luck with your search. Tim

You'll have to go custom for a 57 with a barrel length of less than 4 inches, such as this one of mine that was done by the Jovino Gun Shop back in 1988.
