I would think not. Somewhere deep in the marketing department is a formula that tells the company how many units of a particular model they would have to move before it would make sense to reintroduce it, and I don't see the potential numbers there to warrant it. The .38/44 enthusiasts of the world are probably all on this forum. Everybody else who wanted a classic Smith would just get a .357 and shoot the shorter rounds in it if he wanted a massive .38 Special.
