NIB S&W 686 357 MAG 2 1/2" Bright Stainless
My gun shop called me to let me know they took in a NIB S&W 686 2 1/2"
357 MAG in Bright Stainless.
IS this a Lew Horton Special? There asking $499
Thanks,
John

686
For $499, who cares who distributed it? Go get it or tell me where it's at and I will......

If they took it in, it's technically legally not NIB. Good price, though. I posted a track and chart here. Note the chart header doesn't say so but it does refer to the seven shooter 2-1/2 Bbl 686. If the one you're LGS has is a six shooter, there may be a general difference of about $30 less than shown in the track/chart.

S&W 686
RH,
I'm picking it up on Monday!
5Wire,
It's being sold as a used gun, however it has never been fired.
The 686 is a six shot & is bright SS. (Serial # ANP2XXX)
They also has a LNIB Colt Anaconda 4" 44MAG for $699!
Thanks,
John

I do not recollect S&W ever doing any of their stainless revolvers in "bright stainless." Colt did a high polish job on theirs sometimes, and when they did they called them "Ultimate Stainless," I think.
I may be wrong, but suspect it could be a home polish job. I would get the SKU number off the box and call the factory before picking it up. They can tell you if it had a special high polish finish.

Still, $499 for an in box 686, especially if no IL, is a decent price.
