Default ? for 4" 500 Magnum owners

Hey, Gang

The 4" 500 comes with two comps: one for jacketed bullets, and one for lead.

My question is, if you only ever use hard cast gas checked bullets, can't you just use the comp for jacketed bullets? Cast gas checks in the velocities I hand load them to don't produce any leading at all.

I am not new to 500s. I have a 6.5" production model and a 7.5" PC. Both of those have fixed comps, and I have had no problems with cast GCs in either of them.

I'll be buying a 4" 500 soon. Thanks in advance for input.
