Default M-29 10 5/8th barrel

I have a friend that has a Model 29 with a 10 5/8th in barrel. He says its called the shillouette model. It has an adjustable front sight. I vaguely remember these models, but don't know anything about them. I haven't seen it yet. He's asking $1,200.00 bucks for it. No box, just the gun. Suppose to be like new. Is this a ballpark figure?

I'm certainly no expert on the long barrel guns but that sounds high to me. I'd say $200 to $300 high. I don't know anything about that model so if I'm wrong someone will let us know.

I bought one in September 2007 in flawless condition with a presentation case and paid $600.

These were made as 29-3's, 29-4's, 29-4E's and 29-5's. One new in the box with all the goodies should be $750 to $900. I would pay more for a "N" serial numbered 29-3, and a 29-4 (especially an 29-4E) or one with a factory presentation case. It seems the 29-3's are much more plentiful.
