627 V-Comp questions
Howdy everyone.
I recently acquired a 627-3 V Comp, the all stainless version with no internal lock. Took her to the range yesterday and put about 250 rounds through or so, a mixture of .38 specials and .357 magnum loads. Awesome gun. I think I'll be buried with this one.
A few questions, though - first and foremost, has anyone had any luck finding a good quality leather holster for the v-comps? I've had trouble finding one that fits this revolver.
Also, I haven't seen any 8-shot HKS speed loaders - does anyone know the exact model number I need so I can ebay it?
Thank you.

I've got one of these too, and I posed the exact same question. HKS doesn't make a loader for this but if you do a thread search for 627 speedloaders a bunch of members gave me info on other companies that make loaders. I haven't even tried to find a holster so I can't help you there.

Of course, it was made for moonclips. Ranch Products had them for 50/$50 or 100/$75 delivered. They work well with Remington & Starline brass - .357M & .38 S&W Spcl. I suggest the $15 Brownell's nutdriver-style demooner.
I loved my 5" JM PC Shop 627 V-Comp - until I bought that 4" 627 Pro - then this year's 2 5/8" PC627 UDR. Sadly, the V-Comp languishes these days!

You can find an 8 shot speedloader at 5starfirearms.com . They look nice, and there are some other threads here that you might search for that will have more information.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up on the speed loaders.
No luck with holsters though, huh? I might have to make one.
One other question - my 627 was used on Gunbroker, and it didn't come with the muzzle cap... Is there any way to order a replacement one from S&W directly?
