Default Would like to know more about my 629-1

Hi all....

I just purchased a "new" to me 629-1 with a 6 inch barrel.
It has a lot of numbers stamped on it, and was hoping to find out what they mean, or at least when this gun was made, and if there is anything unique about it.
It is stamped:

AENO (or 0) 666
7X695
A8 with a sideway "S"

And then there are more random markings under the grip, there is a heart with something stamped in it and some other stuff.

Any help would be appreciated

Looks like it was made sometime in 1984. I just picked up a 4" 629-1 from 1987-1988. See the link to this forum thread here
629-1

How much did you get it for? Any pictures yet? If you also received the box with it (I didn't) there may be extra numbers/codes that can be looked up. Any real specific info can be had by calling S&W. Some info is free, or they can do a full history for a fee.

No pictures yet, traded about 600, but it came with original, and Hogue grips. Plus a good bit of factory ammo. Supposedly was only fired around 50 times, could be true. I thought it was a little odd that this beast has the "666" mark.

IT IS EVIL!!
Send it to me immediately for proper exorcism and don't forget the ammo as well, just to be sure.
