629-4 Classic New Addition!!!!
Just picked this up today. This will complement my pre-29. Paid $550.00. Serial number is: BSS0516 and Product code is: 103638. Any idea of production year and/or date? Thanks to all.

I'd guess the latter half of the 1990s.
My -3 was bought new in 1993.
It's my favorite revolver but my 2.5" 66-3 is starting to challenge that title.

Congrats on a great find. The 629-3 and -4 Classic were to me the best of the 629 revolvers for those interested in shooting. (ditto for the 29-5 & -6 Classic and the Classic DX variation)

I have a -3 made in 1992. Great shooter and accurate. The full length under lug tames the .44 Mag.....a little bit.
