What's It Worth S&W 940?
Model 940 9mm 2 inch barrel. Stainless RB Centennial Serial number BRM 97xx Condition 90% in the box with apers and tools.
I have a chance to buy one of these what is a fair market value (without pictures)?

I believe 940's are at the $700.00+ range lately.

Just bought a 3" 940 at a shop
I just bought a 3" 940, NIB with box and everything, at a local shop for $600.
I'm a regular customer and he may have given me a bit of a break. The shop bought a pile of guns from a fellow and the shop knew that it's a special piece - not something just anyone in off the street would buy. By moving it along in a couple of days, he freed up his money and made some.

I bought a 940 no dash from a forum member about a month ago. It was in the box with all paperwork, the tools are still sealed in the plastic, and it even had the brown "Butcher Paper" the gun was wrapped in. It also came with factory wood grips. I paid $675 for it and thought that was a fair price.

If it is really a 90% gun, I would say about $550-600, depending on where in "SW \" you live .
