Default re mod 547

What is a 3inch round butt Model 547 in excellent condition no box or doxs with barely a turn line, locks up tight as a drum going for these days? Really nice revolver. Would 1100.00 be too much?

I’m thinking $700 plus for one of those... that would be a good auction gun to establish top price.

As you describe it, with the original RB Target stocks, $1100 is low-average in the current market. Prices on these went and stayed slightly crazy over the past few years.

Alan has it right. This model has a cult following that is driving up the prices. I have seen them sell at $1500 for a shooter (nice).

Good luck, and post photos when you get it

I found this one at a local gun show about two years ago and paid $1000 OTD for it. Came with magna grips shown and box. May or may not be unfired since it came from the factory. I know these guns usually had the round butt target (banana) grips, but the magnas fit it perfectly. I have since found a set of correct grips for it.

It was a great deal at 1K and I knew it. I have only seen one more of them and the dealer had it priced at $1800 at a local gun show late last year. When I got back to his table it was gone. I have no idea what it sold for, but I would bet more than $1100.

IIRC, RB are going for about a grand or more, SB somewhat more as there's less of them.

If you get the chance, buy one. They are fun to shoot. Take a look at what
the speed loaders sell for.

I agree with murphydog. $1100 is probably a reasonable price as described.

I’ve seen 3 of them in last 3 years at guns shows. All were 3” RB. The cheapest was extremely rough (very scratched, worn bluing and heavily pitted) for $1200. $1500 for a no box, good condition shooter grade and $1800 for LNIB. The 2 nicer ones sold within a couple hours. The rough one has been for sale by the same guy for about 2 years. He won’t budge on the price, either.

They are not that common. If you can get it for $1000.00, you will do well.

A few years ago I bought one that fits your description above and I paid just under $900 for it.

I would pay that $1,100 for it today and not even blink!

The Smith and Wesson Mod 547 will be the most accurate 3 inch barreled 9mm you will ever have the pleasure of firing.

Buy it!

I think 1100 is right in line if not a little low. These have been going for stupid prices lately. Take advantage!
