Default Need HELP in finding a front sight!

In a below related post regarding Hi-vis sights, I am in a quest to find a serrated ramp or red ramp front sight for my "impending" M63 3".
Talked to customer service at S&W this morning - I was told I will need a .165" hight front sight, but of course they have none in stock. I was reffered to Brownells.
In checking both Brownells and Gun Parts the closest I can find is a .219" serrated ramp from Brownells (Pg. 650) that I'm assuming will fit in place of the hi-viz on the '63.
Anyone have another source or any other ideas? Just doesn't seem like it should be that hard to fiind!
Thanks guys...

Use the .219. See where it prints at your dedicated distance. If need be it wouldn't be difficult to remove .054" then use cold blue to refinish. Take a good file with you to the range and go to work.

I just checked MidwayUSA.com. They have the following black serratted ramp front sights in stock. .149" #253791, .219"#448553, .241"#720229,.262"#848524, .278"#180763 and the white outline rear sight for the j frame#138773. These were all in stock when I checked. I have some of these on my guns. BOB!

I would wait til I got the M63 and measure the front sight while it's on the gun and go from there. It will most likely have a V notch rear sight that you may want to replace with the white outline sight I mentioned above. The reps at S&W have been known to make mistakes. The sights have to be pinned on by someone who knows what they're doing. BOB!

Oh yeah, didn't even think of the v-notch rear possibility. Probably didn't think of it as I didn't even consider how someone might try to screw up an otherwise great gun!
I know, I know - to each his own eh what?
Thanks guys
