Smith&Wesson Model 627-5 Performance Center V-8
Did all of these come with 8 round moon clips?
If not, does anyone make a speedloader for it?
Thanks, Jim

I have two of these. All the 627 PC revolvers have the option of using the moon clips for speed loading. I use them and think they work well. I don't think think there is a reliable speed loader made for the 8 shot.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Ranch Products blued steel moonclips (50/$50 delivered) and the Brownell's nutdriver style demooner. The 5 Star Firearms x8 speedloader and 2 x 8 loading plate, available for $32 as a 'bedside kit' is beautifully made and functional. I keep Remington R38S12 .38 Spcl +P 158gr LHPSWC's in the speedloader and baseplate at home - and loaded moonclips - great protection from my 2 5/8" PC627 UDR. For a 4" or 5", those softer lead Remi's aren't required - the additional muzzle velocity attained will enable the harder lead 158gr LHPSWC's, like the reloads Georgia Arms produces for a fraction of the Remington's price, to open more reliably.
The 627 is my favorite .38/.357M!

Thanks! I like the flat rear blade. It looks sturdier than factory. The front sight looks okay but I wish someone (S&W or Millett) would make a gold bead and fiber-optic option for the PC dovetail.

Get a bead from SDM and drill your stock sight, I was thinking about that... be for I found the fiber-optic.

I recently did that with a S&W semi-auto sight. It looks okay but isn't perfect.
I'm really impressed with the look of durability on the rear sight. Is there a windage problem with any of your revolvers?

Call Williams they may offer a Gold Bead set-up.....if I need to a- just for windage , you can take a small round file and take a little off eather side. I only had to do that to one of my sight's. Windage is userly BAD trigger pull !!!

If anyone has a few of the Thunder Ranch moonclips they could part with I'd be happy to buy a few.

The current production PC 627 5" comes standard with a gold bead front site.

Correct, but that is not the set up we're talking about.
Some PC revolvers are built using a Millett front sight (dovetail mount). I'm wishing someone made a higher visibility replacement sight.
Here's an example of the Millett dovetail:
