13-3 from Finks
This one came out of a late friends estate. It was in box with papers and tools but unfortunately it looked like he put it away a little wet. Both the hammer and trigger had slight corrosion. In addition it had some pin point pitting. So I sent it to Finks for the their Revolver Round Up package. Turned out nice.

This is a 64-6 that started life as a square butt. Bead blasted, slab sided the barrel and front sight. Finks did the work on it.

I love that bead front sight. I could sure use that on a couple of mine. My 2 1/2” 19-4 is just IT for me, but my 3” 13-3 is much more practical for its intended purpose, IMO. It worked out well for FBI agent Jodie Foster in Silence Of The Lambs.

It's just a matte blue. Bead blasted then blued without polishing.

Where did the wood come from? It really makes the gun stick out even more than it already does. Very nice job. Will you be shooting this gun? I know some people hold off on shooting something that nice and I understand it, but I don't have anything too nice to shoot. A couple .38 Specials have some age and I try to shoot lighter bullets, but they're shooters for sure. Ex.: last week my friend & I went up & killed some
paper. He had an unshot space and I drew a 4" or so circle on it. He kept shooting left. I had the M&P 38 from 1948 and truthfully I got lucky!
It's a nice shooter at 75 years old.
That 13-3 is a nice looking gun! Good luck with it. Again, love that wood.

Well I have a set of Culina Combats that I bought specifically for it. I managed to misplace the screw during the wait so I dug these out of my grip box. They are from Vittonwood out of Thailand. I bought about 10 sets a couple years ago. They are really pretty nice. They are thinner but longer than the Culina combats. I have already shot it. But the wind was 45-60 that day. I will do more evaluation on it when I can.

That set of combat stocks is from eBay seller "vitoonmakers". His selection of S&W wood is a little low right now but you can see his stuff here:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_dkr...w=s%26w%20wood
You'll have to scroll through his offerings to find wood grips for S&W revolvers. I've purchased several sets from him and find the fit and finish is excellent, not to mention the reasonable pricing.

I'm really liking that. The muzzle is great. Personally I would have left the spur on the hammer and rounded it like a Jovino, but that's just me.

My 3” 13-3 is clad with bananas, also from Vitoonmakers. I have several other sets of combats. Beautiful grips.

Those are gorgeous! I'm thrilled that someone put the banana style RB combat grips back into production, especially when they look this pretty. Hopefully they'll offer a standard S&W factory checkered style too sometime.

@GaryinOKC- I like what you had done. Am curious if the POI changed at all with the change in front sight. I might be interested in doing the same with my M581
