Default Renaissance Wax on aluminum J frames

All,

I've tried to search, but haven't found an answer about waxing aluminum J frames (namely 642s and 442s).

I realize that the barrell and cylinder can be waxed, since they are steel, but what about the frame? If I understand correctly, the 642 is clear coated. I'm not sure what the 442 is. Should I wax the frame as well?

thanks,
-Kyle

I wax the snot out of all my aluminum framed Smiths (including my 642, and 317)

You can even use the stuff on paper.

Super product.

Default Sure you can!

I use it on leather and the outside as well as the reverse side of the wood stocks on any of the rifles, shotguns or handguns in my charge, it does work well on most things!

I've used it on everything that needed waxing and have had no adverse effects.

Granted, the cost keeps me from going crazy with it but I would not hesitate to use it anywhere, anytime, on anything.

Shoot, I've even thought of using it during.......oh well, that's another forum.

Pardon me, I'm old. What parts would you wax? Hers or yours or both?
Just give us a clue, please.
