Default Thunder Ranch .44 Special

Does anyone have one of the .44 Special Thunder Ranch guns. I am thinking of a decent 4-inch .44 Special (I know it has a lock...but it is still a .44)

I have one and love it. I replaced the Ahrends stocks with a Hogue CocoBolo grip and it is an absolute pleasure at the range.

Check out Bud's Gun Shop! They have 21-4's at a very reasonable price without all of that tacky Thunder Ranch medallions. I got mine this week. It is very good and accurate. You will probably want to change out the grips. See the thread that I started on grips for this model.

Merry Christmas,

medxam

I have one-- a wonderful shooting gun. I ditched the grips and fitted some 'round to square' replacement grips.

+1 on the 21-4 deal at Bud's. I ordered one last Friday afternoon (< $600) and picked it up at my FFL on the way home from work on Tuesday. Look under 'S&W closeouts'.

Far as I know, the only differences are that it doesn't have the gold TR logo, or a TR serial number and you don't get the display case.

I got a Nickle one and a blue one from Buds -- new Ahernds grips help for me -- I've even thought about getting a third before they are gone

By the time I checked last week, they were already out of the one in nickel.
