Default 686 no-dash question

I am a recent returnee to S&W collecting and acquired a no-dash 6" 686 in like-new condition. I believe I have read something about some updates those guns should have performed on them by S&W. What are they and how important are they? My gun will see very few magnum loads, if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the advice!

Ed
