Opinions on the S&W PC Model 327 SKU: 170245
Hi,
Anyone shot or own one that can give me your impressions? Decent carry gun for colder weather days OWB ? Has it been accurate and reliable? Does the "Performance tuning" really make a difference? I would be practicing with mostly .38 +P but also some .357 mag. Also, I've noticed latest versions to have what appears to be slimmer and not totally smooth grips, which is a plus. Thanks

Beautiful Pistol but stocks are edgy and rip skin off My thumb knuckle when shooting Magnum rounds. If better finish on grips gun would be perfect. Concealed carry is a stretch if a small-build person... big jacket or big person no problem. But hear this: It's a "Pistol" with 357 Mags... Pow! Pow! POW!!! It will hurt if You handle it wrong. You need a perfect hold on it. But the Report from the snub-nose is priceless. What a gun.
Train often.

I have had mine for several years now. It was a Christmas Present to myself back in 2004.
It is a cool revolver. VERY accurate. Worth every penny I paid and then some.
Personally, I have never put a 38 Special round through this revolver. If I intend to shoot 38s, I bring a 38. I believe you should train with the same recoil that you are planning on defending yourself with. Build the muscle memory for the actual event should it ever arrive. My revolver has mostly been fired with 357 Magnum Remington 158 JSP since I had several cases of it available. It has also seen several thousand rounds of the 140 XTP Hornady Custom ammunition. Plus lots of other odds and ends and my hand loads.
Mine has always been carried IWB or in the front pocket of my 5.11 covert tactical pants. I only recently bought a OWB holster that is suitable for it. I bought the factory holster. Actually the holster was bought to carry one of my 2" 625s chambered in 45LC but it would work just fine for the 327 as well.

Love mine, I also have Pachymer compact gripper grips on it. I shoot it with either 110 grain jhp Winchester 357 or 158 grain. Very pleasant to shoot and my go to gun for SHTF due to eight rounds and light weight...

Out of production grips! Uncle Mikes/Sile importers. I found one set at a gun show for $10.00 basically a rubber copy of Spegel grips...

I've had mine for about a year and no complaints other than the cylinder is rather stiff to open--a 2-handed operation--not a deal-breaker. I carry it occasionally. Weight is no problem but it's a lot fatter than my other snubbies. It lives in my nightstand loaded with .38 FBI loads...a speedloader next to it. Very nice trigger double and single action. An exceptional revolver IMO...puts us wheelgunners in a firepower class with 1911 users but a lot less weight. I replaced the stock grips with Smith boot grips to enhance concealability.

Hi everyone! I have just begun using my PC 327 as an EDC - I used to carry my Rohrbaugh 9mm w/IWB holster which I found uncomfortable & Not 100% confident w/semi-auto - thus I purchased the Desantis Holster & Belt from S&W designed for the PC 327. I LOVE this rig! Very Comfortable & Im 6' 250 so it Conceals just great! I've been using Winchester PDX1 125gr. Defender HP - My question is What Have You All Found to be a Perfect Defense Round for this Fantastic little wheel gun? Thanks for Any Suggestions!

sideguard in the belt has worked for me nicely. Big guy in sweaty florida. T shirt hanging out seems to do it.

I have one and love it, Not the easiest gun to carry, but it will put a smile on your face when you pull it out. The factory grips chaffed my hand with .357's. So I put them on my 627. Here is how I carry it, although I added a piece of bicycle inner tube over the grip and t grip. Ugly as sin, but gets the job done.
