To slap or not to slap

well in this case, slapping her back should not be considered "domestic violence"....just kidding
she does owe you a lot more than just lunch!!

Wow, my Sweety asks if she can hold it and how to use it. I then show her and she says "That's nice, babe", then goes about her business. I think I'll keep her....

Wow! Does she have a sister?

If she did it once, why do you continue to hand her the revolver? Hello! I would inform her nicely that handling it in that manner will damage it. If she did it again, it would be the last time that I handed one to her. If you pistol whipped her with it, I bet she would stop doing it but that could be more costly than replacing the revolver!

Just get her a pink X-box

to use while you are pre-occupied with your interests. What? you mean to tell me you did'nt get her that pink revolver yet? Is'nt that part of the lease agreement? Seems to me she is vying for attention. Then again, maybe that kind of thinking would explain why I am not married anymore. Doh! -- what do I know? --mystifying creatures,...

Wow! Does she have a sister? Quote------------Yep, a few of them, but I got the good one!!! True story.........Today, I got my 1948 pre-17 K22 Masterpiece and she said that it was very nice for being so old and said "Did you get a good deal?" I said "yep." She said "Good job, Honey." She's the shizzle..............and I think she's cute too.

In all fairness to my wife, who I adore, this slapping thing has only occured on two occasions. The first time was a funny joke and she wasn't abusive to the gun. The second time was a couple weeks ago when I showed up from a show with another revolver, 581. I was just looking for input from everyone on the possible damage that could result from slapping a cylinder closed. After reading everyone's posts she believes me now, so thanks. Again, no harm occured either gun. They were gental slaps. My wife now has some other opinions to reflect on. She also had a few laughs while reading the posts. I do keep my 29's out of her reach though. LOL. I'm just glad I have a loving wife who puts up with my expensive hobby.

I avoided all this by getting my wife interested in 1911s. She even graduated from "Gunsite", when Cooper owned and ran it, with an Expert Certificate. She not only knows how to handle, take down, clean & re-assemble a Government Model, she is equally conversant in Glock and AR-15.

She doesn't like revolvers but, thanks to the above experience, respects them and doesn't mistreat any firearm. Been married to this gal for 35 years...I am one lucky guy.

My wife is actually taking the CHL class this weekend. She respects them too, this slapping thing is kind of a joke between us. She did slap it twice, but gently and no harm was done.

+1 for that, put on some late night SkineMax and then be like "Hey I saw this on TV:D"

I wish life was like TV, I was watching a few Miami Vice episodes and Tubbs can take down 6 or 7 heavily armed bad guys at 200 yards with his little S&W Bodyguard......a guy jumps out with an M16 or something, and Tubbs is like "Crockett! POW POW!" and drops 3 bad guys......

If life was like TV, I would also never have to reload my guns and I could use a 9mm pistol to take down a helicopter.
