There's several threads on Mod 13's & 65's with the 3 inch bbl up and running and I have a question.
Is it just the later production of round butt K frames (as in -3's) that have a bevel on the front of the butt or is it unique to short barrel revolvers?
( lousy pic )
From Left: Two 3 inch revolvers and a 2 &1/2.
A Mod 65-3 with round butt magnas not original to the gun. Note the stock overhangs the bevel in the grip.
A Mod 13-3 with original stocks contour to the grip frame.
A Mod 66-1 with original wood that has very little bevel and a rounder profile.
At what point did that beveled front grip come along?
