Do I need to get help! - Let's see those pairs and spares
Does anybody else feel the need to have multiples of the same basic gun if its one they like? I've always liked the "pair and a spare" idea. So the 686 (no dash) just wouldn't let me put it down. I'm hoping I'm not the lone nut on this idea. Let's see those pairs and spares.
Also, I finally picked up Supica's & Nahas' - Smith opus, paid full retail but it was money well spent.

My pair of 581's, both wear wood grips now to make them more like "twins" but still a little different, one's got PC Magnas and one has standard Magnas. I liked my first one so much, I bought another one. Would buy a 3rd and a 4th if the price was right. Also have a 6" 586 not pictured.
I even bought a matched pair of Brazilian boat anchors......a gun shop was selling security trade in Taurus 82's so I bought a pair of them.
Got a pair of .38 Service Sixes in a deal for some more security trade in guns. Both are only a few numbers apart.
Two .38 Special GP100's, not really a pair, two different barrel profiles but still, I wanted another .38 GP100 so I bought another one. I have another .38 GP100 in stainless not pictured.
Had a set of 1898 Gasser revolvers, but sold the "lesser" one, and kept the other one. I didn't need two revolvers chambered for 8mm Gasser!
I have a bunch more of "multiples" I don't have pics of, like my two 6" Model 28-2's, and I also have over a dozen 4" Ruger Speed and Service Sixes. Not to mention the dozen or so Model 10's and M&P's.....have two Nagant revolvers.....I won't even get into my rifle collection, I have over 30 Mosins of various flavors, two Persian contract Brno Mausers, two 1903 Springfields, two Indian Enfields, 5 Yugo M48's, many more "multiples" I can't remember right now.
When I find something I like I tend to buy them in bunches. Lots of times when I find a guy selling ex-security revolvers I'll buy a few of them. I won't be happy until I can build a wood handgun rack full of 30 or 40 of the same dash number 4" HB RB Model 10's........I might go with 10-8's, already have one, could use about 39 more of them!
Overall, you'll never hear me say "I already have one of those.........." at a gun show. I will ALWAYS need "another one"!

Fear not, you are completely normal. I have a few J-frames with the same basic configuration as well as some K-frames. It's nice when you can use the same holster for several guns as well as other accessories. There's so many different models on my wish list so I don't anticipate owning exact duplicates of any particular gun in the near future...

Oh geezzz why did I have to post after Bullseye - just "ignore" my lame 3 gun post. Basically I always have pair/spares here are the Smith's. I've got HK pairs, Sig Trio's and Ruger Trio's but those are semi's and not worthy of viewing here.

If it's a .38 or a .357 and it's got fixed sights, I'll buy all I can find!
My fixed sight 4" stuff far outnumbers anything with adjustable sights.

I like the last two. I'd like to collect them, but I'm sure they're more expensive then guns.

Don't worry Orsogato!
It's entirely normal to want to have a backup.
You do have TWO hands right?

Not Smith's rather Pietta reproductions of Colt 1860 Army's in .44.
Also appearing is a set of blued and stainless Colt 6" Pythons and a 8" Python spare as well as a few spare S&W's.
Have fun and be safe.
