Cocobolo looks so right on stainless... that looks great, Vette!
I fitted this model 29 with the ebony stocks from my 629. I like the way it looks.

Extraordinarily beautiful grips. Exceptional...I might need to get my dad a set for his 65.

I'm in the process of ordering some of grips from Culina for my 29-5 5" classic. I really like the looks of the combat square butt grips. Anyone have any pics of those grips? Any reason I should go target over combat other than personal preference for aesthetics? I would think the combats would give a better grip.

Gorgeous Grips and wonderful service. Both are in precious short supply these days. John and Jennifer run a great outlet for us S&W guys.
Here's their S18s in French Walnut on my 22-4 project. These grips were recently shifted to my 3-1/2 inch Model 27-3 project. I asked Jennifer if she and John can make up a set for me with some burl in French, Circassian or Black Walnut with a Tung Oil finish and medallions to replace the S18s on the Model 22-4.
They bend over backwards to make sure the customer is satisfied. Wonderful people to deal with!!!

Came across this '55 vintage K22 that was part of an estate consignment. It was wearing some fairly awful MOP grips and since I'm not a pimp in a Loozyan' house of ill repute...
If I come across a nice set of genuine S&W stocks I MAY switch but I kinda like these...
Osage Orange with cokebottle profile...

Here are some pictures of my latest grips from John.
These are in Goncalo Alves, N-Frame Square Target grips on my 29-10. I replaced a set of Ahrends Retro Target grips that are to small for my hands. These fit perfectly!
I also purchased several sets of panels for my SR-1911 from John (just as beautiful) but this thread has been mainly about his revolver grips so I'll save them for a different thread!

I'll TAKE 'em!
<drool>
My only beef with Kurac is that he doesn't turn 'em out fast enough. Watching his for sale thread ready to pounce on some nice checkered stocks to replace those awful Goodyears on my new-to-me 629-3.

For Fishslayer
Why not reach out to John and Jennifer directly at Culina LLC to get what you want? You'll find out their production schedule and get a jump on the competition.

Alright guys, no bottom feeder comments, alright?! Colt 1911s, Smith & Wesson revolvers and Mom's apple pie...right? I couldn't help but show off the new set of Culina stocks. They're Fiddleback Turkish Walnut and a beauty to behold. Thanks Jonn & Jennifer.

I ordered a set for my Pre-25 in as dark as possible Cocobolo back around the 1st of February. Jennifer emailed me the other day and told me there was currently a shortage of premium dark Cocobolo but she was sure they would be ready in three months. I ordered them with proper medallions, diamond checkered, its like waiting for Christmas.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but I don't know where else to post this. It looks like Culina LLC has been hacked. I have been trying to get on the web site since Saturday with no luck. When I did a search on their web site Google posted that the web site may have been hacked! I hope their computer didn't get destroyed! Also I hope they can get up, and running soon! I wish them luck!!!!

I know many members on the forum have John Culina (Kurac) grips! He offers many styles and a wood pile second to none.
On Saturday, he posted some new grips for sale on the forum, and I bought a pair of his wonderfully figured, exhibition grade, smooth target grips with a coke profile. They are made from Cocobolo and have S&W medallions installed. Apparently, premium Cocobolo is getting more difficult to obtain, so I was extremely pleased with these grips.
Dealing with John and Jennifer is always fantastic. I ordered and paid for them on Saturday evening, they were mailed from CA on Monday, and I received them in SC today! I think they look great on this 5 inch 27-2:
As usual, my pictures don't do justice to these grips!

Adding one to the Chain here.
For Years I have wanted a 586, 4" gun. Long Story/Short, I got this one recently, and even though it has some Patina on it, I wanted a set of Kuracs for it.
The Grips are Bubinga Square Combats.
I can't even tell you how beautiful they are, or how perfect they feel in my hand.
John and Jennifer Culina are the best people to work with.

Just how many names does this outfit go by? Seems everyone calls them something different? Or, are some referring to the owner? I know way back when I first read this thread I couldn't find a website for them?

Google Culina, LLC and that will get you there.
Here is a pair of cocobolo target grips I recently bought from them off eBay (nickel 5" 27-2 in pic):

Steve, our company is called Culina LLC. My husband who makes the grips is John Culina. His ID handle here is "Kurac". When he signed up for the forum back in 2005 he made up that name not knowing he was going to be making grips one day so it has no affiliation with our grip company. He is going to change his ID here over to Culina as a new handle since it confuses people. He has been slow to change because he dislikes the thought of losing 12 years of history on posting and commenting since he likely has to get a new account.
I will send you a PM with our contact information. Thank you for asking.

Here are some more of my Kurac grips that I have not shown in this thread yet.
1. K frame Birdseye Maple Target Grips - I don't have a picture of these on a gun because the only pictures like that I had were on PB, so this picture is the one John sent me when I bought the grips.
2. N frame French Walnut Combat Grips - John's picture.
3. The combat grips on a gun.

boykinlp, can't you log in on PB and download your pics? I was able to do so and moved them all over to PostImage.org in a new account I opened there.
