Default 29-3 date check

hey guys-

Just picked up a nice 29-3 EFFECTOR 44 MAG, was wondering if any of you guys could look up the date off the serial AHY72xx i know the 29 effectors are pretty rare anyone know how many were made.

Your 29-3 is about 1985. The Effector was an after market conversion made by John Jovino in NY.

thanks ken- yes i understand it was a gun shop in NY that did these. From what i read most of them were model 25's but i have only see a couple references to the 29's. I also have read that they came with the pachmyer grips this pistol came some nice smooth wood grips with finger groves don't know what kind i havn't taken them off, finish is pretty good but not perfect.. wanna take a stab at what it might be worth?

The grips are Hogue, the lighter a Bic.
