Question about a 13-3 Box Label
Last night I was looking at the closing bids on a SW 13-3 on GB and was a bit interested. The sellers pictured a Blue box bearing what appeared to be a genuine printed SW label with the correct nomenclature of a 13-3, serial number etc.. Where the barrel and finish areas on label are, there was no info but printed “**U*S*E*D**” across.
I’ve never seen this on a Smith box??. Comments.

Used gun marking from the factory are usually indicative of a agency trade-in. The model 13 might have been a FBI gun traded in when they went to the 10mm/40S&W platform in the 90's?

Interesting! I brought the listing back up and screen captured the label.

Yup,
You can ask Roy where it went to originally, it might have a neat past

Some agency traded back to S&W. S&W sent it out to distributors for resale.
