Nothin' Fancy: M64-3 3"... (with photos)
But then, it doesn't need to be fancy. I'm referring to my "new-to-me" M64-3 with its 3" barrel. Just picked it up from my local gun pusher, and I'm impressed. Quimby's Gun Shop in Dublin, PA wins my vote for honest gun dealer of the year. When they said "excellent condition inside and out" in their GB ad, they weren't kidding. I'm pretty sure it's been fired, but it couldn't have been shot very much. The wooden grips are pristine, and I'll be hanged if I can find any cosmetic problems.
I've been on the lookout for one of these in 3" since I had such good luck with my 4" M67-1. Can't believe I lucked into such a nice one. It really is true what they say about fixed sight revolvers... "everything you need and nothing you don't."
The biggest problem in my mind is that these 3" barreled revolvers could get addictive...

Nice purchase. Three inch barreled revolvers are about as good as it gets. Yes they are addicting.

Quniby's IS a pretty good shop, I have bought a couple items from them in the past, But then again they are 45 min away and I stop in when I am in the area.

I have a Mod 65 & a Mod 13 in three inch.
The 65 gets shot about every range trip.
The worse thing about a 3 inch K frame is finding a holster!
You have a very nice stainless 38 spl there, don't let it set on the shelf.
They clean up easy.

Good looking gun! Range time is definitely in your future, ... and then you'll really understand why they're so popular.
Thanks for the pics,
Jerry

GF, I just received a Bianchi AccuMold 7000 holster from MidwayUSA that they say is designed for 2-3" K frames, and it fits my M64-3 3" a treat. Bianchi also has an AccuMold 7500 paddle holster that looks like it would work well.

Very, very nice. You found a winner. I have always for some odd reason had great luck buying S&W's on GB from gun stores in PA, not sure why, but it works!

Oh boy, you've done it now. No other barrel length will ever feel as good, now that you've found the best. Oh Lordy. You're in for it now!
