my model 13. I sent it to S&W to have the cylinder and trigger tuned up in 07.

Nice looking Model 13 and I'm sure it will have a sweet action when it returns from S&W

the S&W work was done 3 years ago. I have fired it alot since and it is a tack driver with a sweet pull both single and double.

I love it. I was on the search for one of these for a few years and landed on a 13-2 in 4". I sometimes opine about the 3" version like yours and will keep looking, but the fire is dwindling now because of the amazing action on my 13-2.
Very nice gun.

I got lucky and found mine when I did. Yours is very nice, sometimes I want to get an action job on mine but I don't shoot this one much. I would like to get a match 65 though every time I find one I am out of money.

I could not find 13s so I bought 65s in 3" and 4" lengths and rounded the grip on the 4". Good shooting duo, now they should have a tune up.

I've been wanting a M13 in 3" for forever! It was the standard issue for the FBI longer than any other weapon they issued. Love that piece!

Question P&R 3 in.

How difficult is a M13 -3 in. P&R to find.? I suppose that would be a dash 2 or earlier?

I just got a 13-3, 3" RB a week ago. I am still just so excited about this revolver. It is nearly pristine, just a couple of handling marks.

For the guy who wanted to know what they are going for nowadays, mine was $489 + tax.

1943 - that would have to be 13-2 or earlier, yes. My 13-3 is not P or R.

My M13-4, in the pictured configuration, is the most balanced and "handiest" S&W that I own.

I intend to buy a M65 3 inch and if I ever find any more blue or nickle M13s...I will buy every one if I can.

Here's my Sokol custom 3" M13, next to my 2.5" M66. The M13 is an ex-French police sidearm, which was obviously dropped a lot more than it was shot. I wish I had a "before" pic to show the difference. What it lacked in shooting before, I've made up for it since I've had it.

I had a M65 in 3" but for some reason I still have always wanted the M13. Something about it being the FBI issue that just draws me to it. I've never found one out here in SoCal but if I ever do...
