They are factory J-Target stocks and fit either round or square butt frames.

Most likely were used on the gun that was in that box.
What is the label on the box?

Alk8944 is absolutely correct.

These are the earlier version (late ‘70s?) with blued stock circles; the later type have silver metal circles.

Not sure a RB fits, I.e. the pin may not align with the stocks holes. Even if it does there would be an ugly gap in the “backstrap”. They are made specifically for SB.

No...
Note the photo by NCBeagle:
As we said, they fit both round and square butt J frames.

Is that a RB or SB in the photo?

Most people refer to that style as "Football" relieved target stocks.

I have those grips, but without checkering. They are cut for SB but a RB frame is held in place by the grip pin and fits securely.

OK. I’m wrong. Years ago I tried a RB in the square butt targets, and it left a big gap, maybe I just had a one off set of grips.
Or my memory is one off.

I've seen them referred to as conversion stocks--change j frame round butt to square butt grip. I put them on my round butt Model 37 and they feel great. I agree the OP's are that of an earlier version.

That's been my experience as well. The SB and RB grip frames have the "locating pin" in the same place, even though the frames are contoured differently. So even if the grips are relieved to fit an SB frame they will still fit perfectly on a RB grip frame.
As always, YMMV....
