Default Collins Craft Grips

Hello Gents,

Just got these wonderful grips in the mail from Don Collins. The grips are very well made and Mr. Collins was a true gentlemen to deal with.

Really wanted to dress-up my TRR8 but love the look of the square butt N-Frames. Also wanted a solid set of white or ivory grips, smooth with one or more finger grooves.

Looked around a bunch and stumbled onto Don's website. Found this set and pulled the trigger. White Corian N-Frame round to square butt conversion grips.

Couldn't be happier. BTW, they feel great too.

What do you think? Kinda got a tuxedo vib going on with it now

Don certainly has some very nice grips depicted on his web-site. I have been looking at them for several years and see something I missed almost every visit. I will probably do some business with him, more sooner than later. Probably will be something in maple.

Yeah, the grips do have that "formal" vibe about them. All dressed up with no where to go! Better take off for the range real soon.

Hope you enjoy them.

Badger makes an extremely comfortable grip and quality is second to none.

I consider Don to be a friend. He makes very nice grips, and yes, he's a pleasure to deal with. He used to come to our gun shows, and for a while we were in the tables next to his. Gave us time to talk and I really got to see his wares.

Its an advantage to see his full line in person. Even better to be allowed to pick the ones you like best.

One time he even made me a set of Bark Ivory (the outside of the tusk, showing the battle scars) N frame grips. I'd asked him if he would, and of course he did. His wife wasn't pleased, and kind of ragged on him because she thought the pieces should be used for Colts. He put them out in his display during set up. When I got my table put together, I took a walk to find him. I took one look and gladly paid up, as agreed.

Later on his wife noticed they were gone and asked what happened to them. He told her the first person that saw them bought them! He may have left out the prearrangement.

When I was a kid in the 50's they made a liquorice candy in a revolver shape which was black with white grips. Perhaps some old timers remember eh? Any way Pageo your gun looks just as sweet.

Thanks for the kind comments Gents, mucho appreciated.

Would definitely deal with Don again. Maybe something extra fancy in an exotic wood.

Was gonna hit the local outdoor range tomorrow but it seems it's flooded. We've been having a lot of rain lately.
