Default New grip for 625-7

Just bought a 625-7 in 45 colt. I don't like the rubber Hogue's on it. I have a rather large hand. Do Ahrends or Hogue wood grips fill the hand out better. I always ware an xl size glove.
I like the look of the Ahrends Retro Combat's but don't know how thin they are.
Any words of advice would be helpful.
