Default Value of 686 Competitor

I have a 686 Competitor that I got from a friend about a year ago as part of a trade and would like some idea of the value since I can't find a lot of info.
It's a 6 inch heavy barrel with barrel weights and the top of the barrel has a weaver type base made in it and has about 100 rounds through it.
I'm trying to decide whether or not to sell it and can't really find enough info to get an estimate of value.

Thanks, Greg

Product code would be of help, as would a pic.

If it's the one I'm thinking of (Performance Center right?, with "slots" for the underlug barrel weights?), figure in the avenue of $1k to $1.1K in excellent condition.

Hard to say for certain with the info provided however.

^^^ What he said.

If yours has open slots that show the weights in position, it's a newer model. If there are no slots and you cannot see the weights, it's an older model.

Either way, the $1K x $1.1K is about right in these parts anyways.

Thanks guys!
It has the slots and it is a PC with the aluminum case or whatever it is. Allen wrench and plastic spacers to replace the weights, LPA rear sight, fired case shows 10-18-07.
The only revolver shooting I do is IDPA and I just switched to revo in that and can't decide whether to sell this one or start shooting NRA Action Pistol again and instead of shooting an auto like before useing this?

Greg

You can't go wrong either way. It's your decision, good luck with her.

I would keep it. It is a very nice revolver. It is a tack-driver too. I have its predecessor, the PC 686 Hunter, and will never get rid of it. But, if you decide to sell it, you should be able to get in the $950-$1100 range for it.
