Default 60 Pro grips for new 63's

Several folks have PM-ed me re the proper SKU# for the 60 Pro replacement grips. Here they are on both my older 5" and newer 3" 63:

You can order them by phone from S&W Accessories (1-800-331-0852) as SKU #411740000 @~$43 + s/t + s/h. A bargain! They are sometimes 'out of stock' (OOS) - they'll get more - backorder them.

What a difference a grip makes, on my 60.

Default M60 GRIPS

Those grips are pretty. Questions: 1 Are they wood or plastic? 2 Will they permit the use of a speed loader? The std rubber grips do not. 3 Are they useful with the round grips of a 60-10?

They are wood, I don't know about the speedloader. If the 60-10 has regular J frame round butt frame they will fit.

Default Just thinking!

Thought all Model 63 were square butt and not saying your wrong, but they sure look like laminate with the little lines down the front of the grip picture. What ever I'm buying!

They are laminate. I'm pretty sure they are sourcing them from Altamont.

They are laminated but they are a wood laminate. He asked if they were wood or plastic.

Most (but not all) of the old 4" Model 63s have square butts. The old 2" and recent 3" and 5" versions have round butts.

I have a 2- and 5-incher, but I've been keeping my eyes peeled for a 4" with a round butt for a while. Missed one on Gunbroker a few weeks ago, unfortunately.

I love the grips also. Besides having them on my 60 Pro, I put a pair on my nickle 3" model 36. Real pretty on the nickle gun.
