Thumbs up Is this a reasonable price for a 940-1

NIB never fired. Desireable 940-1 with 25 new moonclips and original box and all papers. $835 shipped.
Wondering if this price is too steep. The picture of the gun shows its condition, and is pre-lock. Tell me what you think guys and thanks.

Too high. A nice 940 just sold in the classifieds here for $615 shipped. Even NIB it's too much unless you just have to have that particular gun. Certainly you'd never get your money back out of it. Keep looking.

Also, all 940's are pre-lock.

I'd say $835 is to much. I picked up a 940 no dash for $500 about 2 years ago. It had the sticky cylinders which seems to be a problem with these little pocket guns. I ended up selling it.

I believe the answer is yes. The NIB may have sold with a holster, don't recall. I saw pics of the 940, the gun was minty.

A NIB 940 just sold for $835 right here:

A used 940 sold for $615:

WTS: S&W 940-1 -- SPF to calemerson

A woman goes into a butcher shop and asks "How much for a pound of roast beef?" "$5.00" replies the butcher. "$5.00!" exclaims the woman, "The butcher down the street sells it for $3.50 a pound." "So buy it from him," answers the butcher. "Well," says the woman, "He doesn't have any today." "Is that so?" says the butcher, "Well, when I don't have any, I sell it for $2.50 a pound."

It's only too much if you can find an identical 940 for less, and successfully purchase it.
