That is top notch photography. Looks like you got it down right. Wish my pictures looked half that good!

First, That is some of he best photography I have ever seen. Second, if you don't stop that I am going to give in to the low priced, no lock beauty and my resistance is low as it is. Great gun and great photography.

Superb photo and a great looking gun. I was under the impression that these were NLA.
What Bud's stock number is it?

Outstanding! All that needs is a set of checkered Cocobolo Boot grips.

My hands may too sensitive but I tried checkered wood on my 442 and switched to smooth wood. Practice sessions with +P were just a bit too uncomfortable (and I don't like rubber grips at all) though I could have 'smoothed' the checkering a bit.
Nice photo. Is the light box home made?

Different strokes, & all that. I detest smooth grips for shooting, feels like the gun, especially a small one, is gonna' fly out of my hand. Smooth grips do look good in pictures, though. I have a set of Altamonts with the pressed checkering that gives you someting to hold onto, but isn't sharp, pretty good compromise. JMO.

Excellent picture.
I have the same "no-lock" gun bought from Bud's last summer. It sure is a great ccw weapon with some pretty decent performing +P Gold Dot loads.
I'm contemplating different grips for mine, now. The factory grips do well when shooting, but feel "hot" in my pocket. I'm looking around for other alternatives now. I'm thinking about the VZ models.

Thanks for all of the kind words!
I have made the light tent pretty much in accordance with this website:
Light Box / Light Tent Photo Gallery by Bill Huber at pbase.com
Here is a picture of my set-up:
I am using two 13W CF and two 19W CF bulbs in the 5000-6500K temperature range. My camera is a Nikon D40. I wished I could say otherwise, but the camera is set on auto, and I pulled the image into Paint Shop Pro for some auto adjustment and added the text and border.
I love this gun! I actually bought it as a duplicate safe queen back-up for my concealled carry. I figured with ~$500 worth of holsers and accesories I might as well have a spare.
Here is the link to my original post:
Bud's 442 and 642
Here is Bud's link (they currently $377 shipped to your FFL):
S&W M442 38 1 7/8 NL BL $377.00 SHIPS FREE
Thanks!

For some reason the thread opening photo is only coming up with the very top showing. The rest of the photo is a blank. Wonder what's happening.

nice
Outstanding pic. Likewise, I've been thinking of picking one of these no-locks up from Bud's as my carry gun.

I prefer the "standard" gun board pic; cell phone camera, with flash, in a dark room on an ugly old bedspread;-)
Love the light tent. I can see it cost a fortune!

I'm not sure. I got them off of eBay, there are two of them on there right now. Do a search for "buffalo j grip".

Just checked, says they are made by Bersa (?). Did a google search, only hits were grips for Bersa handguns. Eagle grips makes buffalo horn grips for J frames but they are considerably more than those two ebay auctions.

I did not realize that they were made by Bersa, but I see now they are listed as such.
Here is a short review that I did on them when I first got them.

Kyle,
Digital cameras embed files into the pictures they take that contains a myriad of information, such as Camera, Date/Time, Shooting Mode, Shutter Speed, f/stop, Lens, Lens length used, ISO, etc.
The aforementioned file in the first photo you posted lists the exposure as 1/60 second at f/3.2 with an ISO of 250.
