Default Wood Stocks on 66-2

I recently purchased a used S&W Model 66-2 with the nice wood combat style grips. In the owners manual under the Care and maintenance section, it recommended that periodically apply a coat of RAW linseed oil to them by rubbing it in with the hand. Well, after going to several stores, all I could find was Boiled linseed oil. Apparently raw linseed oil is scarce. My question is, would it be ok to use the boiled linseed oil on the stocks periodically or would it damage them? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I'm finicky about my guns and want them to look like new.
Thanks.

You can get raw linseed oil online. The difference between raw and boiled is that boiled has additives to help it dry faster. You can rub a little boiled linseed oil into the stocks occasionally without damaging them.

Thanks for the information. Just ordered some raw linseed oil on amazon. Will see how it does on the stocks.
