In the pictured group the 3" in a true CS-1. However I'm still in the hunt for a 5" National Match.

4" M686 "no dash".
Pretty factory targets, but I like the Pachmayrs. Yeah, it's a SHOOTER...

Can I just use your photos? Looks just like mine, even the rubber grips. Mine is also a no dash, must be twins. :-)

Twins? Hey, might be - ya' just never know. Possibly brothers - from different mothers. They say Daddy used to get around...

I can't remember. This threads been around for 6 years. Did I post in this before? OH WHAT THE HAY. I probably didn't post this one.
It's a 5" PC that started life as a + but I swapped out the cylinder and now it's a normal 6 shot. Normal with an Apex job. Use it in ICORE Classic.

I only have one 686. It's a "sweetie". I don't shoot it very well but more practice should fix that!!!

Its 1st outing after sight in. Right target from a rest, left target off-hand. Both shot at 50' with light loads of RedDot and 125 gr cast bullets.

I have a Colt 1911 that's new in the box, never been fired, loaded or cleaned.
I thought it would be nice to always have a brand new gun.

686 no dash. Picked it up in a pawn shop about 30 years ago for $240. Came with presentation Pachmyers. It has the best trigger of any revolver I've ever had the opportunity to fondle.

686-1 2.5 inch Combats Pawn shop find
My local pawn shop called to let me know she had a revolver that I might like! Wow what a understatement. Had wait 18 days because she had just bought the gun. Built in January 1987 no m stamp. A little carry wear but just happy to have it.

2.5", 4" and 6" group shot and photo of 2.5" with S&W Combats.
I love K frames but, the L frame seems to fit my hand better and accuracy from all if them is impressive.

Nice pictures on this thread. I tried to hold out for the 686+ Talo, but I lost patience and bought this regular 686+ with the 4 inch barrel. It is a pleasure to shoot.

This is the only 686 I have and I doubt that I'll ever get another one.
Its been shot a lot according to my friend who looked at it for me.
I still haven't shot it yet but plan to soon.

Nice collection!
Wouldn't sweat the combats though.., for the money, they are over rated. My $0.02 anyway.
