My dirty rotten FFL got me again - he knows my weakness!

I’ve been on the hunt for a 40 semi auto and had a lead on a NIB 1.0 M&P then get this call. My FFL knows I have a weakness for Smith and Wesson revolvers. My willpower crumbled.

“Hey how attached to you are to that Ruger LCP MAX?”

“Depends, what’s up?”

“Just got in an estate and I have the customer who wants the new Ruger. I know you have one with some extra mags and I’d like to move on this as they are only in town for a short time. How about a trade in on a NIB 442 no lock and used model 60 no dash with Tyler t grips? Trade in saves you the tax and we can work out the cash difference. Everyone leaves happy.”

He’s been great over the years and gave me some smoking deals on a model 14-3, 17 and snub 66-1. So I thought I’d pay him back and help out.

We came to $700 plus the Ruger for both j frames and boxes. Not a smoking deal but I add to my collection two great j frames.

I had money set aside for a 40 auto but I couldn’t resist.

I also think you did quite well. The LCP max is around $350 retail so you got the 2 J-frames for about a grand all in.
You can get another LCP Max tomorrow if you want one bad enough.

No cure, but the condition can be treated by regular infusions of additional S&W firearms to your collection.
