Smith 647 Varminter value?
I have a Smith 647 Performance Center "Varminter" with a serial number of 003 unfired in the soft carry case, any opinions on the value of such a beast? I bought it spontanously and am now thinking of moving it along to the next lucky owner but am wondering if I overpaid. I won't cry about it, I liked it, enjoyed it for awhile so if I lose a few bucks, no biggie. Let me know what you think.
P.S. It is unfired.

FWIW - S&W has relisted the Perf Center model like yours so you could look at the MSRP vs. what you paid and go from there.

I didn't know it was now available, thanks. I paid $1050 for it.

With S&W having it in the catalog doesn't necessarily mean you can find one but I thought after they dropped the original offerings that they decided to bring it back was interesting. It could also mean that they had or found more parts leftover than they originally thought they had.

Product: Model 647 .17 HMR Varminter
MSRP of $1300.
So your price you paid seems reasonable. You can probably sell it for what you paid. Even though un- fired it's technically used.
