M29-2, 6" in Pawn shop, fair price?
Serial number N756xx. Target stocks and blue look very nice. Target hammer and trigger. No white outline on the rear, red ramp up front if I'm remembering right. Six inch, no box or papers, only the gun. Not quite as tight as my 4" M29-5, but acceptable.
Wasn't really in the market for another 29 but I almost never see the 29-2's in my area.
How old is this gun?
Fair price?
Thanks for the help...

Why not post the price and let the forum members comment that way?

That's a fairly low serial number for the N series....probably around 1972 or 1973. I'd say $600-$700 depending on condition. Pics Pics Pics...

If he hasn't dropped an X in the serial number the revolver was made in 1972. I bought two Model 29-2's with 6 inch barrels and they both were like new and they cost $600 for the blued one and $640 for the nickel one. Prices vary by location so I would put the value at $600 to $650 as the 6 inch seem to be the lowest priced 29-2.
