Default EDC 342-1

Here is my EDC summertime revolver.

She is a worn 342-1, armed with Federal Nyclads, wearing crimson trace grips, and lubed with CLP. She's got some mileage on her, but still my favorite warm weather carry revolver.

I carry Mexican style, IWB, in gym shorts.

I love my Sigs, Glock, and K-frames, but this one gets carried more in the summer.

Let's see your summer carry revolvers.

Nice well worn & loved revolver ya got there.

I don't have any photos of mine however it's your basic run of the mill 642-2 38sp. I carry OWB in a Bianchi Lightnin' 55L holster which I really like. It's a top strap thumb break style holster however the strap covers the rear instead of the front allowing for a very quick natural draw. You use your middle finger to release the snap and your hand slips right into the grip. My carry ammo is your everyday Remington G&W box of 125gr SJHP +P.

Default mostly pocket

My 340s mostly get pocket pocket carried... but a man's got to have options if you wanted to, a sandblasting cabinet will give that revolver a real nice looking even finish... my M&P 340 in this picture I media blasted when I welded up the lock hole a while back..it turned out sweet.

Not a revolver but this works for me in the summertime. Everything else I've tried wants to pull my gym shorts down somewhat. This disappears under a colored tee-shirt and is full 9mm

Mine was an EDC for many years when I was working full time. It was carried as a back up in a Galco Ankle Glove ankle holster and later in a belt holster as a primary.

I used to tell people that it was 364 days of pleasure and one day of pure pain (qualification day).

It's an interesting gun as it was one of two that (at the same qualification session) got so hot the yoke warped and the cylinder would jump past the cylinder stop. Both were photographed and sent back to S&W. When they left they had four line addresses and when they returned they had the two line addresses shown. They had the same cylinders and barrels, but obviously the frames were changed (serial numbers were duplicated). S&W factory folks denied that they changed the frames. We found out that S&W had several scandium frame 342ti's at SHOT that year and decided not to release them and went to the larger Magnum J frame guns. The local S&W distributor thinks they frames were replaced with scandium frames; however, S&W would not discuss it. All I can say is that neither of us ever had any other problems with the guns and we continued to qualify with them for several years.

Thanks for sharing these pics. My EDC is a no lock 340PD and has been some sort of J frame for over 50 years. I tried the LCP thing but recently just gave up b/c the mag keeps popping out in my pocket and no J frame ever gave me any kind of problem.
