FOUND ONE - 3 INCH 629 WITH FULL LUG UNFLUTED
I posted on here some questions on a 629 3 inch, full lug, unfluted cylinder a while back.
I finally found one. It is a 629 - 5. I cannot believe that I found one, but it happened. It is in really good shape and the lock up is solid. It appears not to be fired much.
I would like to thank everyone who provided information on these revolvers.
Does anyone know what the grips are?
I am very happy.

Welcome to the club!
I am told the grips that came on this model were rubber Pachmayr "Gripper" style. The grips you have on yours look like an aftermarket set similar to S&W Combat grips.
Here is mine:

On the price, I think I did pretty good. 625.00.
As I stated it seems almost new.
There are no markings on the inside of the grips. They seem pretty comfortable. I will probably put S&W finger groove combats on it.
I really like it.

Thank you.
The grips shoot pretty good. They are just a little too long which make them a little hard to handle. The more I shoot them the better they feel.

Just a guess, but I would say the grips are by "ACE" and they do look great, whoever made them. Flapjack.

Lookin' good!
I don't know about the new grips, but both mine came with the Pachmyers like those pictured. Now they have Ahrends cocobolo.
