Default Laserlyte J-Frame Laser

Has anyone one here ever seen or used one? I have been pondering Getting the CT grips, but am not too fond of there large size. This looks like a good idea in principle, but at 100 dollars on Natchez, the low price is almost a deterrent. Wonder if its a quality product?

LaserLyte remove Crimson Trace Laser Grips - YouTube!

* Also states works with factory and aftermarket grips.

I've never used a Laserlyte product, but I do have the Crimson Trace LG-405 for my 642. The 405 model is not any larger than the stock Uncle Mikes boot grips it replaced.

The LG-305 model by Crimson Trace is larger. It covers the entire backstrap and extends the grip length.

My biggest concern with the Laserlyte product would be the activation. You have to remember to flip a switch on the right side of the frame. If you are a right-handed shooter, that means you are going to have to shift your grip at some point to do so, whether you use your trigger finger or use your left hand. That's fine if you are at the range, but not so good if you need the weapon in self-defense. The grip activation of the Crimson Trace is what makes their product so excellent.

I think the factory grips are too big or at least not comfortable in the right places for my hand. I am going to a T-Grip/Service Grip setup.

Interesting option. Let us know how it goes if you try one.

I have one on 340PD. I like it, it fits a Blackhawk molded holster and a Galco leather holster. It does not use battery life each time I use the gun, either snap cap or daytime target shooting. It was easily sited using a bore site. It has survived several shooting sessions - using .38 cal in the .357 cal revolver. I would buy again.
