I have a couple of J Frames and would like your thoughts on the best IWB holster for Appendix Carry. These are the revolvers:

I use a Kramer IWB clip holster made for a 2" K frame when carrying my J's at 1 o'clock. Sometimes I'll use a Remora no-clip IWB or a Lobo Gun Leather offset clip IWB.

I have a Minimalist holster from Side Guard Holsters. Nice product, great price.

This one worked daily for 24 years when I was on the LAPD. I still carry it in retirement. Made by my neighbor in Burbank when I was on probation. Simple is good.

Hurst I think? No longer available.

Roger that; John Hurst died about 3 years ago. They're Micarta and the most comfortable stocks I've tried on a J-frame. Here they are with another set by John, in hand-checkered Coco-bolo.

My 637 is carried everyday in an Alessi Talon IWB, so comfortable I forget its there sometimes !

I've used Don Hume for years, but I've recently switched (as with just about everything I own - I'm really pretty much using these with everything I carry nowadays) to Remora no-clip IWB, which just work better for me (they don't move, they protect the gun, they hold the gun still, they don't cost a lot, they're sweatproof, etc.).

We know the advantages for carrying the S&W J frames however we also know they can be less comfortable & concealable than pistols designed for concealed carry due to their thickness. A new design IWB style unit for appendix carry may be what you are looking for. It’s called the Stealth Defense “Strut” Holster.

Seriously . . . ?

I mean this has to be the very first time in my life - and I've been carrying J-frames since the mid-'80s - that anyone has suggested this to me.

Welcome to the Forum, though. Hi-larious video at that Stealth Defense site. :)

That's what I love about the Remora - infinite IWB carry methods.
